Assessing dogs with vision loss can be a challenge in general practice. Blindness can occur from a variety of different pathologies and identification of the cause of vision loss is key to determine whether a treatment option is available.
In this webinar Dr Bayley will review the ophthalmic examination approach including neurological testing. We will discuss the main causes of vision loss in dogs including cataracts, SARDS and PRA. There will be a special discussion about diabetic cataracts and cataract surgery to show the diagnostic and surgical approach for these cases to restore vision. The webinar is estimated to take around 60 minutes.
